This is how we have made a difference since 1977 when the Practice, a firm of Chartered Surveyors, Project Managers and CDM Consultants, was originally founded.
A full range of services is provided. These cover both the traditional role of quantity surveyors in the Building Sector of the construction industry and the role of financial, contractual, management and claims consultants in the Engineering Sector.
In addition, the Practice provides a Project Management service to both sectors and acts as Principal Designer under the CDM Regulations.

We control and manage cost and risk at all stages of a project. The successful management of construction costs is reliant on information being provided in a timely fashion whilst still being accurate to allow effective decision making. This applies from the outset of a project, through the construction phase allowing correct decisions to be made by the Client too completion and final payment.
Our variation management procedures are brought into project procurement to allow full cost control and enable informed, timely decisions to be made. Cost management is one of the core services delivered by Teigh + Co and forms an integrated part of our Project Management Consultancy.
Through effective project management we control and deliver construction projects to cost and on programme, minimising risk whilst maintaining safety, achieving quality and maximising investment returns.

The Practice provides a full Principal Designer service to meet the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. The service includes advising the Employer on the competence and experience of Designers and Principal Contractors, preparing project specific Pre Construction Information for the construction phase and the Health & Safety Files for the operation and maintenance of the completed building or specialist equipment installation.
The Practice is committed to the provision of a high standard of service with the emphasis on early warning of progress and budget overruns.
The services are provided utilising current editions and revisions of the standard methods of measurement and forms of contract. In addition the Practice uses the latest developments in such matters as Inherent Defects Insurance for buildings, alternative forms of Project and Contract Management Arrangements and private funding facilities. Emphasis is placed on firm contractual management of contracts, with clear allocation of risks in order to reduce the potential for conflict between the parties.
Extensive use is made of up to date IT facilities. Bill production, project management and database software packages are employed to produce estimates; prepare budget forecasts and tender documents; carry out post contract cost control and issue reports; monitor and co-ordinate project progress and issue reports. The software packages used allow for the fast and efficient handling of information, which enables early, continuously updated cost and progress forecasts to be issued.
